My first ever trip to Libaran. It's a good place for fishing according to my friends few years back. Felt very excited about this trip.

Did not take many pictures in this trip as everyone was dizzy due to strong wind, strong current, very heavy rain at night and very hot weather on the next morning. As for myself, I only caught a selongsong and 4 palm sized groupers and worst of all, I broke my Slimax PE 3-4 fishing rod. It's one of my favourite fishing rod. Perhaps, it's time to move on and get a new and better rod for myself. Felt disappointed with Libaran waters. There's not many fish there after all. I won't be going there again. Sayonara Libaran.....

Went to Jalil Alip with Jepp this evening. It has been a while since I last went casting for snakehead.

 I did not get any strike at all while Jepp got at least 5.

After about an hour of casting, Jepp finally got a solid hook up on this big fat snakehead.

 

 

 Will go to this place again someday.

Not much to share in this trip as the bite rate for this trip was very low.

 My first selongsong after 6 years of fishing.

I only caught a stingray, 3 groupers, a mangrove jack 'berhala version', and a selongsong in this trip. Surprisingly, there was not even a single catfish and croaker caught in this trip.

Not many pictures were taken during this trip as the catch was not that good. Experienced a lot of tangled lines. Anyway, it was a good trip. Hope to get a better catch in my next trip.

Gobin 070612

This recreational trip was planned a week before. It was fun seeing each other having good fight with the fish in Gobin using light tackles. Unlucky for some of us that we were not able to land some of the bigger fish in Gobin as our line snapped half way.

The highlight of the day

Jepp with his 7 star grouper which was caught with his PE0.8-2 Eupro Salty Fight fishing rod & Abu Garcia BCX5600 reel. He also caught a 3kg catfish ( mayong ) but no picture was taken.

Not many fish were caught in this trip but we had lot of fun fishing with light tackles. Will surely go to Gobin again.
